Question  Setting upp a support group
As many have known I am pulling teeth trying to set up a DID support group. No parameters in place until I find a co-facilitator which is a challenge. I have 2 women in mind. A third who would be excellent but she is too far away.

This question might depend on your history but how would you feel about attending a group who is a pastor? Both a very gentle women. Neither may have the time but I trust both of them. SP would not be part of things, especially not in the beginning. And we have one such person as part of our group but that is different as people met her here first.

Opinions? Remember there are no wrong answers.

SP is a big part of my life, so it wouldn't bother me... if the pastor is willing to facilitate without pushing her own SP beliefs/solutions

Neither of these women would ever do that. They have their faith but allow me to have mine because my style is not typical.

Feedback  RE: Setting upp a support group
It wouldn't bother us if one of the facilitators was a pastor, as long as she was female and didn't inject SP stuff into the discussion.

We would not join a group that had any men, either members or facilitators. We know that there are male multiples, but we need an all-female (bodied) setting to feel safe.

RE: Setting upp a support group
I have toyed with the male thing as well MD. I think that alters with the body being male have different issues from what I have read. They might need their own group. I would hate to say "this is the girls room" and would feel guilty for leaving out a guy or two but what is best for the group needs to be looked at. Thanks for the feedback.

I have tried finding a support group, but the nearest is three hours away. It would be great to actually meet with others on this path.

There is nothing here. There is not even anything in our province to my knowledge.
