RE: What movies gets you every time?
I have an odd relationship with some movies. I get an indication, I feel it, of something that either is happening or will happen in my life. It always takes me by surprise, and I don't make the connection in time to help myself. Though the last one was so in my face, that I'm preparing. Most of the time, these are very painful lessons.
The Bridges of Madison County does it every time. I know the event to which it would refer. The heartbreak, and that I just have to live with it, but it doesn't define me. I've visited Roseman Bridge twice and left messages there. Lots of people do, on the inner walls of this covered bridge. Years of messages.
Million Dollar Baby (not recommended for anyone here), another Clint Eastwood vehicle, about boxing. The immediate lesson was never to turn my back (awareness) away from an enemy, but there's more to it and I'm working on it. Once was enough.
