What movies gets you every time?

The first movie I ever watched that would have caused a kid in a normal house to shed tears was Brian's Song. I remember the lump in my throat as I watched with my mother. Afraid a brother would come in and torment me. From then on I fought off movie tears, distracting myself at the sad parts.

Then I went off to see Steel Magnolias one time. And I did shed tears. I have watched it so many times I have lost count and always tear up. Once it was showing on the bus. I didn't have my head set on but at the post funeral scene I still teared up. I just switched channels a minute ago. and it was just ending. If you have seen it (and I hope you have as it is wonderful) it was the part at the end where they were having the egg hunt with odds and ends going on. I still choked up. Funny how some things touch you like that.

Anyone else have a movie that they know will put that spark shiny eye look on their faces? Funny thing is that they feel like "safe tears". The friend I was with also cried and I have never met anyone who has watched and loved it who did not cry. Such a mix of laughter and tears. Maybe it is the laughter that makes room for the tears.
