Dumping therapist

Well, I brought my son to a new therapist. My son apparently discussed his upcoming birthday meal at his favorite restaurant and told the therapist he hoped his former abusers did not show up (as they have in the past). The therapist called me in privately for the last five minutes and said my son is "delusional" for thinking people would come from another state. He also feels DID gets over diagnosed!!!!!
I am not walking but running away from this therapist. Why, why, why can't therapists believe that a child or adult could have experienced severe trauma? I have PHOTOS to prove my son's experience is real. He is not delusional or psychotic. How sad to want assistance, to just want someone to listen and offer ways to cope, and to be disbelieved. I feel discouraged. Will I ever find a mental health professional who understands DID is real? I hope so.
