Feeling so lost and alone

We have been having a really tough time recently and have not been around much. Haven't been able to post for a while as everytime we try we are not able to find the words.

There is so much going on for us at the moment. We found out yesterday that our closest friend has got cancer again, the second time in a 18 months. It's only a year since she was given the all clear. We are finding this very difficult to deal with as the prognosis she was given last year was not brilliant. We are so worried and very upset. She is the closest thing we have to a family in our life. She is fantastic with all of us inside, especially the little ones.

Also our therapist is going away tomorrow for 2 1/2 weeks. The timing couldn't have been worse really but it's not his fault. We are feeling abandoned by out therapist which we know is a silly thing to feel. He says he understands it but we don't. Feeling so lost and alone and don't know how to deal with everything that's going on for us. To make things even worse we are trying to keep up with our studies, have and assignment due in 3 weeks but really feel like giving it up. As this is the last module for our degree we know that this would be a silly thing to do but it feels like too much pressure on top of everything else. Trying to take each hour as it comes. We are safe, just struggling.
