Risk taking?

We have a few inside who are risk takers but as a whole fear steers us away from anything where we may be hurt. I watch these Olympians with bandages, stories of comas and broken backs and they return to their sports. I cannot imagine it. People look at me strangely when I state that if I'd had children I would never encourage them to take this direction.

Fear of being hurt. It is offset by sadness with regards to accomplishments that I may have achieved if my beginnings were in a protective home where, no matter what happens as you walk your road there is always someone there to bring you back with kisses and bandages, cheer for you and are proud of you.

I cannot change the past. But right now my T and I are working on my taking risks in order to make my life easier and less stressful
