Msgs from T and PDoc

I know people here will understand because we have talked about it here before. Yesterday we had a bad pdoc day. I don't even remember how it started as we switched part way through. She was talking about how we couldn't expect people to understand us and when we pushed to try to make it happen people backed off and we pushed friends away. Wasn't that f*ck*ng nice?

And last week Young Catherine was out in T and while it is hard to remember it there was stuff about finding new connections but that people couldn't help that they are intimidated that we understand more about stuff than they do because we lived it. So nobody wants to talk about it.

I don't want to hang around with people who talk about their issues all the time and nothing else. "I am on this med this week and now my doctor thinks I am borderline and I just wish I had a boyfriend and does anybody have a smoke?" I have been around that kind and someone ends up caretaking and then run away when I get overwhelmed. So I don't want to be that person. But if I was to join some sort of support group that is what I would end up with.

But is it too much to ask that I want someone in 3D who understands? Who knows that I try so hard to be normal and sometimes I slip? I don't want a f*ck*ng marriage or live in. A 'friend' flipped out at me because I brushed off the fact that she had allergies.' I didn't brush off. I was in bad space and the info bounced off me.

I feel like these 2 women sandwiched me in the last week. One on each side they... I don't know. But what is the point in trying to do normal or pretend normal, go out and get involved when I am just like a puppet? because puppet is all I know how to do and still be in public.

And we agree with nats about hoping for tolerance where we can't find understanding. That's why MM is so great; people *do* understand.

Young Catherine has gone inside. PDoc tried to compare the fact that people don't understand what she does other than make lots of money. That really f*ck*ng helped considering the fact that we are on a disability pension. She doesn't get DID either. Right now I am tempted to quit her because of this (she is an ED specialist). Sometimes I like her but right now I hate her. However, I need her to fill out my forms for the 2 sources of income that make up my 'getting by'.

I am like you. It is not that I go around with a sign on my forehead that says "I have DID please be my friend anyway," I just want to be accepted. I try to do normal. People are very self involved in this city. It would do me no good to join a general group for mental health support as I still wouldn't feel understood.

That is exactly it! And we want to be respected. Often friendships fail because people do not respect us. And we feel like PDoc doesn't respect us. When we calmed down we realized that T had not said or done anything in that realm and that it just got all jumbled up. We have written her explaining the down sides of this relationship

Wow, I'm sorry but I think your PDoc effin' sucks. Why is she trying to make you feel guilty? Don't we survivors carry more than our fair share anyway? And comparing your attempts to be "normal" and to live with some shred of compassion and dignity in the outside world to her supposed "poor misunderstood" rich doc issues? What a effin' eejit. I'm sorry you're doc-locked to this crap for insurance reasons. Speaking as someone who spent over a decade with the ED monster, she does not get that either, from what I read.--Davis and others with "orek"

No she doesn't get much of anything as I think about it. Some like her, some tolerate her. Two hates her because she never acknowledges her. That just dawned on us today. Well Two was rambling to the kitties. If we write she responds. If Two writes there is nothing. Too many inconsistencies. We realized that we over reacted to T and have written her about what happened. We see her on Wednesday and will talk about it with her. Sadly Two was finally getting up the courage to talk to her (she is fairly new but knows her stuff)

Two did come out and talk to T. For a long time actually. She recreated the night she arrived. She has a collection of little people plus this cool 'book' that folds open to make a Castle and she worked her way through to the arrival of the castle when there were so many of us. She exhausted all of us.
