New meds
We started on Cymbalta a while back. It was working well but we started having horrid stomach problems. Of course we jump on the pills as being the criminal. However, we had found an oatmeal (our favourite breakfast) that is free of wheat and other Cleiac foods. So we were eating it several times a week.

One morning we were lying in bed and realized that the stomach issues actually changed when we started the oatmeal. Sometimes it is not the meds. I was disappointed in having to give up oatmeal yet again but did not want to go to the roulette wheel to try and find yet another pill. We are pretty much running out of them.

BTW, no weight gain with this one. In fact we have lost a few pounds and are able to get into some 'new again' clothes.Idea

Glad that you're doing better, and that you don't have to find another med.

RE: New meds
shame about the oatmeal, but great that the cause was obvious once you identified it (and not meds!)

RE: New meds
I can see how having an oatmeal 'oops tummy' all the time would really make a person feel grumpy and out of sorts. I sincerely hope you are feeling better as this obviously was very uncomfortable. (someone close to me has gluten intolerance and I see all the problems she has with her digestive system. When she's really ill she becomes quite nasty and condescending, pretty much disliking everyone who doesn't share her illness, so I somewhat understand how frustrating this all can be). Just glad you're doing better.
