There was a post on FB today that was an article about an RC Bishop in Australia. It left me both furious and confused. It is MT.Will scroll.

A high level Bishop in Australia made the following statement: Children who have SA with priests may have a... forget exact words but basically, it was a spiritual experience with God.
I wanted to reach through the screen and choke the man. However, since I was a small child I have had things happen that are considered to be abnormal and sp in nature. Somymind is racing. Realistically I know that this man is sick. Still...

that kind of minimizing of the TRUE impact SA has on a child is so ... so ... i don't have the words for it. it's almost as if he is trying to make it okay - really justifying SA... and that makes me angry too.

Lots of high level people in the RC church seem to be so tone deaf and clueless... either that or they're evil. i know i'm painting with a very broad brush here... but this is ridiculous

Pope Francis is really down to earth. Shockingly so. Doesn'taccept expensive gifts and chose the name of a saint who was very kind. He has condemned these same priests so I hope the bishop gets fired. The f*ck*r actually said that he would go to jail to protect the perp priests. Surely he has people who have stories about him with an attitude like that. Makes me sick. Especially... my sister posted it. She is really into the RC church. She never left a comment with the story.

That's pretty much the most ridiculous and disgusting excuse I've ever heard for this type of assault on a child. Talk about trying to make something salicious and downright immoral seem like a divine event. This is the reason why I left that particular 'religion' a very long time ago. There's just too much corrupt things that seem to keep happening and people who are far too willing to cover it up. Sorry, but I'm with People - I'm having a similar reaction to this travesty. Unbelievable!
