Maybe Peak and Two are right

For those who responded to the litles thoughts on running away, thanks for the replies but it is just their way of venting. However, I am starting to think that they are right. Perhaps moving is the way to go. I just heard from another of the few friends I have here and she is considering moving.

What keeps me here? The kitties and moving costs. The cats are too old to move at 14 and 15. I do not think they would handle the ride well. I think their general health is OK although one has not been to a vet in years due to her panic when I take her. They are totally indoor cats so they don't get shots.

All of my furniture is new within the past few years. My apartment flooded and I had to replace everything. To pay for it to be moved out of province would be too expensive. Selling it all and starting over would also break me. So i feel stuck here and I hate this f*ck*ng city. It is the most unfriendly place I swear...

you don't have to move tomorrow to start planning for a move 'when the time is better and you can.' we misunderstood you were going on a trip, but it makes sense that you want to do what's best for the kitties. maybe plan for a move within the next 5-10 years? that gives time to plan where, what furniture to bring etc. planning a move also helps with the feeling that where you are is awful - kind of like having a secret escape route.
