Usually the rich win.
I live in a rickity old apartment that is not in the greatest part of town. However, the city train will be running past us within the next year or so. This means that the price of renting a place here will go up. All of the places in this crappy area. The building went up in the late 50s. It is made from wood. It is small. ut it is quiet and the previous management didn't put up with crap. The new people take over on sep1. should I buy my new glasses? I am so sick of moving.

Yes. And I have had floods, bed bugs galore in the whole building, other bugs where the maintenance guy said "I see nothing, I do nothing." I had a mentally ill, scary man living upstairs and mould in that apartment. Mould in another apartment and a dry drunk manager. On and on. And we all know how much it costs every time we move.

I really hope this works out for you people. If worse case you do have to move at least you have time to figure out what to do.
