When good things happen for others

Tonight I learned about 2 good things happening. I actually initiated one of them. After I was so happy I got really down with the poor me's. Nothing happens blah blah blah. I have to force mself to remember things. Things that happened lately. Or last year or 10 years ago a big thing happened that allowed us to get act together financially.

Why can't we hold onto that? Why does someone inside instantly go from happy for them to unhappy for us. Switching perhaps but it affects all of us.

If we made a list of the good things we would be amazed. No it does not erase the bad but it reminds us that people do care about us. But we are like kids in a candy store window; looking in. Someone comes by and shows us what they got; are kind enough to share with us. We are happy with the share but we want out own candy? Does that make sense?

And we cannot find IPod.
