I love this song as well Peoples....my mom & I took an informal sign language class and our "test" at the last one was to "sign/sing" a song in sign...mom choose "Hello in There" by Bette Midler and I choose "True Colors" by Cyndi Lauper. Thanks for reminding me of that....tears are surfacing as I listen to it and type this reply. Very good memories for me. I've never heard this version but like it very much. You brought a smile to my face and I thank you.

Glad you both liked it. We all have our own ways of making us feel better. Music is one of my ways of finding a breathing space. Katz Krew we had tears as well as we watched it. I remember when Cyndi Lauper did it at first and liking it but I don't think I listened to the lyrics as closely then as I was not ready for such messages.
Another really good one is 'Brand new Me' by Alicia keys. She is my favorite singer and that song is gonna be my theme song for 2013. I recommend that you check it out. She is on tour but her only stop in Canada is in Vancouver which is not in my driving or price range.

I never really listened to the lyrics either People....I do more now than I ever did in my life. I totally get the "not ready for messages" thing as I find that to be true to me as well.
I like AK's song...thanks for cluing me in to it.
