Do I hear YAY? - The People - 08-07-2014
Since I was in grade 4 it has been my dream to be a published author. Today I received confirmation from Chicken Soup for the Soul that a story I submitted for their Christmas, Canadian edition, has been accepted. Unlike something I sent in a long time ago I receive a small fee instead of having to buy a subscription to get a copy of the story. I also receive ten copies of the book and will be gifting 9 of them to some of my peeps (not the ones driving me crazy outside my window).
It has been a rough few days with health issues popping up so this was the boost that I needed! Most of you don't know the birth certificate name and are in the US so won't be able to access it but I just wanted to share my good news!

You can go on the Chicken Soup Web Site and order from there. They may sell it in some stores. Not sure but you could ask.

Chicken Soup for the Soul has its own web site. You could email and ask if any Canadian stories are available in the US. Or you can order online.

Hi Twin Volition. These books are a good place to start, or perhaps something else with equally small submissions. A friend helped me with editing and some other stuff which was a really good learning experience. Being accepted here makes me want to push myself to write daily on other projects I am working on.
