My son has a birthday coming up. It takes me a long time to plan events because they can be over whelming. So now that the day is upon us, another friend chose the same day for their party. So I was forced to cancel our event. Now I have to settle for something small, because I can't start over again, not enough time. I feel bad my son had to settle for second best.

we struggle with this too. always leave things to the very last, when it becomes even more overwhelming but over a shorter period. sometimes last-minute can be the most creative though - hope its a great party!
